Review: Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson

“There is a strength, a power even, in understanding brokenness, because embracing our brokenness creates a need and desire for mercy, and perhaps a corresponding need to show mercy. When you experience mercy, you learn things that are hard to learn otherwise. You see things you can’t otherwise see; you hear things you can’t otherwise hear. You begin to recognize the humanity that resides in each of us.”

Still at a loss for words on how incredible this book was. So much left to think about. Each and every one of these stories touched me in some way. So many innocent human beings being put on death row simply because of the color of their skin or the fact that they’re poor.

Books like this make it hard for me to understand how people can be so heartless. When the facts are sitting right in front of your face you still choose to do these people wrong. Thankful that Bryan Stevenson shared these stories with us and that he continues to dedicate his life fighting for the poor and innocent and mostly justice for all.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ incredible stars from me. So looking forward to seeing the movie in December.
