Review: Sugar by Bernice L. McFadden

This book was my first Bernice L. McFadden read and it was EVERYTHING! I loved the relationship between Pearl and Sugar. An unlikely pairing of two women who needed each other more than they knew. Pearl filling the void of her deceased daughter and Sugar filling the void of her mother, who abandoned her. It’s a beautifully written friendship in which they teach each other so much.
