an open letter to this decade…

many of you know my story, but many more of you do not. If you knew this girl a decade ago, you’d know that I was a twenty-something about to be married, still wet behind the years, but excited for what life had to bring. little did i know that my entire world would turn upside down not even two years later.

this decade taught me a lot and has been by far the best years for me growth wise. I married and divorced, lost friends and gained even greater ones, tackled motherhood like a boss (they’re honestly my proudest accomplishment to date) and capped it off with owning my own business (hello Book Girl Magic). I could have never seen myself here 10 years ago. doing it on my own and doing it for me. I truly treasure the roller coaster ride that this decade has been. i’ve never felt more pain and hurt than I have in this one but at the same time, that hurt and pain produced what has come to be, a phenomenal woman.

my friends and most importantly, my family who have stuck by me through it all, I thank you. thank you for being my village, picking me up in the many times I felt down and for standing by my side and supporting me through all the victories too. i love each of you.

cheers to another decade of growth, walking in my purpose and continuing to use past lessons to conquer the unthinkable. 2020, I am ready for you!
