Review: The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

This book was EVERYTHING! This (from what I can recall), is the first book I’ve read where a character is special needs. Stella, who’s autistic, discovers that she’s bad when dealing with people and relationships. Especially when it boils down to her sex life. Through the advice of a coworker, she decides to better herself in this area by hiring an escort. Insert Michael Larsen.

For many complicated reasons and family troubles, Michael spends his Friday nights escorting the women around town. This is how he meets Stella, his newest client. He usually only meets with clients on a one time basis, but with Stella….something was different about her. Stella proposes that she pay Michael to be in a pretend relationship with her for practice. Although he was already intrigued by Stella initially, 50k for a month for pretending to be her boyfriend didn’t sound bad either and he and his family could certainly use the money.

Although this arrangement was temporary, the feelings that begin to build become more permanent. Both characters have their own struggles throughout the story, but I especially loved how Michael cared for Stella and how patient and understanding he was with her. Both before and after learning about her Autism. Their quirks seemed to balance one another, making them an irresistibly cute couple.

As a lover of Rom-Com, this was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me. Definitely one you should read if you love romance novels. So looking forward to reading the Bride Test next month!
